Manchester United are in a funk, but Jose Mourinho's record against Arsenal remains exceptional: just two defeats - and 10 wins - from 19 meetings.

David De Gea had a bit of a mare against Arsenal when Manchester United hosted Arsenal in Premier League on Wednesday night.

'I think Paul played well, ' Mourinho said following the draw.

Chile global Sanchez joined United from the Gunners in a swap deal for Henrikh Mkhitaryan, but has scored just four goals in 11 months for his new side and has failed to recapture the form he produced during his three and a half years at the Emirates.

The Gunners nearly won it during the closing stages when Lucas Torreira was denied by De Gea, but a draw was a fair result as Arsenal extended their long unbeaten run and United were made to wait for another win in the top flight.

Mourinho's side managed to go four games unbeaten before a 3-1 loss to defending Premier League champions Manchester City in the derby at The Etihad.

"The target changed but in the sense let's try to close the distance best we can and be very close to these positions".

Reports suggested the United manager gave Pogba a dressing down in front of his team-mates after last weekend's 2-2 draw at Southampton, as Scholes suggested France boss Didier Deschamps handled the midfielder better as he shone at last summer's World Cup finals.

Alexis Sanchez isn't suited to Manchester United's style of play, according to former Arsenal defender Nigel Winterburn.

For it to pay off, he really needed his team to be victorious, but after a bright start, they did not look like getting three points against Unai Emery's men, who twice took the lead and were unfortunate not to emerge with victory.

The France global feels he's wrongly being made the scapegoat for United's downfalls this season. "He'll have a major decision to make and there'll be five or six teams interested". Season after season, two of these teams are staying outside the top four. Arsenal failed to deal with a long ball from the kickoff and after Kolasinac diverted the ball towards his own goal, Lingard stole in to poke a shot past Leno.

However, when the teams meet this week, it will still be a mouth-watering occasion, and we have put together a combined XI based on current form.
