Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman sent at least 11 messages to the adviser who oversaw the effort to kill Jamal Khashoggi in the hours around the journalist's killing, according to a classified Central Intelligence Agency report obtained by The Wall Street Journal.

One of the first foreign leaders whom Prime Minister Narendra Modi met after landing in Buenos Aires for the G-20 summit was Saudi Arabia's crown prince Mohammed Bin Salman, who has been linked to the gory murder of journalist Khashoggi in the Saudi consulate in Istanbul October 2.

USA intelligence agencies have evidence that Crown Prince Mohammed and al-Qahtani had 11 exchanges that roughly coincided with the hit team's advance into the Saudi Consulate in Istanbul, where Khashoggi was murdered.

"Whoever has ordered and implemented this violent crime should be found out at once".

"But this is not only the case of Turkey, but of the whole world".

Putin said in October he lacked information about the matter and said Russian Federation would not tear up its relations with Saudi Arabia because of it.

The Islamist-oriented Turkish leader, who has been vying for influence in the region with Saudi Arabia, said he did "not wish to cause any damage" to the royal family.

Bin Salman maintains that he knew nothing of the plot to kill Khashoggi, despite a Central Intelligence Agency investigation determining the crown prince was instrumental in orchestrating the alleged murder.

The prince told world leaders that "unless the crime is proven, you can not blame Saudi Arabia", Erdogan quoted him as saying.

Earlier this month, the United States imposed its own sanctions on Saudi officials for the same reason.

Trump chatted with Prime Minister Justin Trudeau and the leaders of Japan and France during the group photo session at the G20 summit. In Europe there have been calls to end arms sales to Saudi Arabia, and Canada could still be smarting from a diplomatic row sparked by Saudi anger at its criticism over human rights in the kingdom.

For his part, U.S. President Donald Trump has defended his country's ties to Saudi Arabia following Khashoggi's murder.

Backing away from his strident attacks on the Saudi Crown Prince he declared.

The Saudi government continues to deny any involvement from the crown prince in Khashoggi's death.

The two men beamed widely and clasped hands in something of a cross between a handshake and a high five. MBS arrived in Algeria from Mauritania, resuming a tour of Arab countries that started with the United Arab Emirates (UAE) last week. He recalled that at the talks the sides discussed cooperation in the framework of OPEC plus.
