George HW Bush’s funeral and memorial services plan

Bush, who died at his Houston home at age 94, will be buried Thursday on the grounds of his presidential library at Texas A&M University.

James Baker, Bush's former chief of staff and secretary of state, called his boss's tenure in office "a consequential presidency" because of his foreign policy achievements. He was also being treated for a form of Parkinson's disease. "And I think his career really represents a generation that many Americans now and in the future will consider our country's greatest generation". His son, George W., served as Texas governor and two terms in the White House.

Masters champion and Houston native Patrick Reed recalled meeting both Bush and his son George W. Bush, remembering them as "amazing people". He was also the father of the 43rd president, George W. Bush. After Barbara Bush died earlier this year Ramsey published a moving cartoon of the first lady being welcomed at the gates of heaven by her young daughter.

Former President George H.W. Bush was known in Kennebunkport for his jogs along the rocky ME coast, fishing from his speedboat and transforming his home in the seaside village into the "Summer White House".

As the country's oldest living president until his passing, George Herbert Walker Bush remained as active as was physically possible through the years following The White House. From there, Bush's casket will travel to Washington on board Trump's presidential aircraft - in what the United States leader called "a special tribute that he deserves very much".

George P. Bush, the only member of his family to campaign for Trump after his father dropped out of the race, largely shrugs off questions about his family dynasty and his responsibility for keeping it alive politically. Guided by his wisdom, sound judgment, and unshakable faith in freedom, President Bush forged a lasting global order and ushered in an era of national peace and prosperity.

More details about Bush's funeral arrangements are posted on a tribute website for the former president. I just loved him.

George H.W. Bush was an honorable man.

After graduating from Yale, he became an oilman in Texas, but after his stint in the oil fields, he spent most of the rest of his life in public service - including as a two-term congressman from Texas, director of the Central Intelligence Agency, an ambassador, vice president under President Ronald Reagan (1980-1988) and finally president (1988-1992).

Born on June 12, 1924 in Milton, Massachusetts into a wealthy political dynasty, Bush left school to join the US Navy during World War II. "Our thoughts are with the entire Bush family tonight - and all who were inspired by George and Barbara's example".
