OnePlus 6T ‘Thunder Purple’ colour variant launched: Price, specifications

We'll bring you more news on the purple 6T as soon as we find out more.

And don't think that low price means this phone doesn't pack premium features as you'll find a dual-lens camera, fast Qualcomm 845 processor, large battery and stunning 6.41-inch AMOLED display.

OnePlus 6T was unveiled last week only in two variants of Black, but today the device is introduced in a new shade at the China launch party.

"We've always been huge fans of OnePlus and the 6T continues to impress".

Its predecessor, OnePlus 6 is available in four colour variants including white and red. Sorry the break bad news to you, but the company revealed the Thunder Purple paintjob will remain exclusive for China and now has no plans of bringing it to any other Western market, the USA included.

Background: As already mentioned, the OnePlus 6T Thunder Purple model sports the same specs as all the other variants of the device, though it comes in a variant with 8GB of RAM and 128GB of storage only. There's no excuse. If you want it, there are plenty of options for getting it. The overall experience of the OnePlus 6T is nearly unchanged, save for a few minor improvements like the smaller notch, larger battery, and in-display fingerprint sensor. It is a bit narrower, a bit thicker, and a bit taller than the OnePlus 6, in case you're wondering. Android 9 Pie comes pre-installed on the phone, and as already mentioned, HydrogenOS comes pre-installed on the device in China, while OxygenOS is packed on top of Android 9 Pie everywhere else. Pictured on the Chinese OnePlus website alongside the Mirror Black and Midnight Black colours, the Thunder Purple is reminiscent of the Samsung Galaxy S9 in Lilac Purple. Other colors a are a major no-no at the moment. The OnePlus 6T is also available on Amazon, so you have plenty of options.

Interestingly there's more night camera news as well, since the Pixel 3's Night Site Mode has been ported to the OnePlus 6 and 6T as an unofficial app (via Ubergizmo).
