So half an hour before the latest episode of SNL started, Grande put her new single out into the world, and it nearly immediately became a meme to rival "me voting in 2016 vs.me voting today". However, the singer's rep has now told ET Canada the release had nothing to do with the "One Last Time" hitmaker. She even took the time to learn some rather tight choreography - which is what caused the near-disaster - with her backing singers. This September, her ex-boyfriend Mac Miller, died of an accidental overdose caused by mixing drugs and alcohol.

The tracks included Cadillac and Champagne, thought to be versions of Ariana's previously unreleased songs.

Not only did she wear a bridal-style blazer dress with lace accents and thigh-high white boots, but Grande also had the entire stage set as a wedding reception - complete with white cake, table settings and tons of flowers.

Though the Ellen performance mostly goes off without a hitch, Grande and her companions mistakenly dance through the Ellen audience toward the studio exit when the song concludes.

"Thank you for being here". Thank you for being here.... you've had a rough year. "We're happy that you came back", Ellen said before announcing that everyone was going home with a copy of Ariana's album, Sweetener. We all love you.

However others felt they could relate to her visual depiction of anxiety, including shots of a cloud encompassing her head, Ariana walking in slow motion through a fast-moving room, and then walking through a frozen room.

To her credit, Grande doesn't slam Davidson or any of her exes on the track.

"His voice and laugh", Grande wrote in response.
