OnePlus 6T Thunder Purple Variant Announced With 8GB Of RAM

The "Thunder Purple" colour variant of the OnePlus 6T is launching in China following earlier rumours of its release. Aside from a few small features the two ran almost identical versions of Oxygen OS, all of which make upgrading from a OnePlus 6 a very hard sell.

Before the launch of the OnePlus 6T, there were reports the phone would come in a new purple color variant alongside the Mirror Black and Midnight Black variants.

We'll bring you more news on the purple 6T as soon as we find out more.

OnePlus has always touted its devices as "flagship killers", offering top-tier performance and specs at a much lower price than the competition.

The OnePlus 6t has hit the shelves this morning following its announcement a week ago.

Well, we reached out to OnePlus to shed a bit more light on the Thunder Purple version of the OnePlus 6T and its further availability around the globe, and. Connectivity options available on OnePlus 6T include Bluetooth 5.0, dual SIM, 4GVoLTE, USBType-C port and NFC. It's only available in China right now, but hopefully that availability expands at some point in the future.

As I noted in my review, there aren't a whole lot of differences between the OnePlus 6 and 6T, especially where software is concerned. Chief among which being a reworked front-facing camera and an in-display fingerprint scanner. The OnePlus 6T also comes with a "teardrop' notch, which makes it better-looking than the OnePlus 6, though that's all a matter of taste". Pretty basic. But marking yet another first for the company, OnePlus has unveiled a new colour option for all the 6T buyers out there in all-new gradient finish.
