José Mourinho suggests Eden Hazard will fire Chelsea to Premier League title

Jose Mourinho has lauded Chelsea's Eden Hazard as the Premier League's best player, adding that he wishes there was a possibility of the forward joining Manchester United.

"And this season, it's still in the beginning of course, but if he is the best player in the Premier League until now, which I think he is, Chelsea is top of the league now because he is the kind of player that can make a huge difference".

The game ended 3-2 and saw United move back to the top of the Premier League in the five-goal thriller.

Chelsea (6-2-0) returns from the worldwide break placed second in the table, unbeaten through eight contests this season.

However, in a recent interview Hazard spoke of his respect for Mourinho and his desire to play for his former manager again.

But Mourinho believes Sarri's side should be considered title challengers, especially with Hazard in such fine form.

"I think he is a nice kid". I think he will be able to win also in the future, because he is really one of the best.

"No, I am not happy, honestly", Mourinho said when asked about what he described as the "manhunting" against him in the wake of the Newcastle match.

"I would love to have him in Manchester United but".

"The likes of Ryan Giggs, Gary Neville, Paul Scholes, Rio Ferdinand, myself - players who had Man United in them and wanted the best for that club - would never allow anyone to mess that up".

Chelsea now sits third in the Premier League table on goal difference, but is tied with league-leader Manchester City and Liverpool with 20 points from eight games.

"Some of the players looked depressed in the first half with the result, and with the pre-match, because the pre-match was hard for them", Mourinho said. But we actually weren't.
