Both telcos have yet to confirm their prices. At least the Pixel 3 still offers a generous 5.5-inch display size, so users aren't necessarily sacrificing too much in going down a size if the notch on the Pixel 3 XL is too much of an eye-sore to overcome.

Best Buy is a massive retailer partner to have on board for the Pixel 3 and Pixel 3 XL, but unfortunately, the partnership is only to sell the phones as "Verizon" devices. "The Pixel 3 XL has a 6.5" screen, but a fraction of that is lost by the notch. The phones are the successors of the Pixel 2 and the Pixel 2 XL respectively.

Google's AI will also greatly improve nighttime photography, the company said, and will eliminate muddy, dark pictures.

Lastly, both phones get a new color called Not Pink.

No surprise, the first and biggest reveal of the day was Google's new flagship phone, the Pixel 3 and its bigger brother, the XL. The Google Pixel Stand will be available in India for ₹6,900 and will be up for pre-orders along with the smartphones. Always On also makes a comeback.

The Pixel 3 is a better-looking phone, in my opinion. This is where the new innovations have concentrated, as Google and its ilk focus on features and possibilities that can be generated from its artificial intelligence, machine learning, and sheer processing power. If you're wondering why Google didn't spend any time talking about the Chromecast on-stage during its announcement, it's probably because, well, there's not much to talk about. It also added some custom software trick you don't have on other Assistant smart displays.

The device features a gorgeous 12.3-inch display with a resolution of 3000×2000 pixels - producing up to 6 million pixels, Type-C ports, and no headphone jack. It will also come with a wireless charging accessory called the Pixel Stand that allows users to use Google Assistant from anywhere as long as your phone is in the vicinity.

The smaller Pixel 3 is a big step up from last year's Pixel 2. Expect a detailed review of the Pixel 3 XL in the coming days.

There is still a single rear camera on both phones. We've reached out to Google for clarity and will update if we hear back. One is a 97° wide-angle f/2.2 sensor and the other is a standard f/1.8 sensor. There is also Super Res Zoom which lets you zoom in on objects without losing details.

Notably, this feature appears to in no way have the functionality of Google Duplex - a service that can carry out limited conversations with real people on its own. The Pixel 3 will start at $799 and the Pixel 3 XL will start at $899.
