After reported talks between the Heat and Timberwolves on a deal to send Butler to Miami, the New York Times reported that the Florida club had offered fourth-year swingman Josh Richardson and a protected first-round draft pick as part of a package for Butler. He's created such a poor culture for Minnesota's future after the stunt's he's pulled over the past few months.

One player told KSTP's Darren "Doogie" Wolfson, "I'm legally blind", when asked how Butler looked.

"So all of my emotion came out at one time". Was it the right way to do it? No. "I didn't go at those two (Wiggins and Towns)". That's my love of the game. "It's not going to change the culture and I don't know if it will give you seven more wins a year".

"I haven't played basketball in so long", Butler said during the interview.

The T-Wolves didn't want this circus to get any more out of control than it now is, so they chose to cancel practice Thursday.

Butler created a media circus yesterday when he caused a scene at Minnesota's practice and then immediately sat down for an interview with ESPN which he had set up. Since the Timberwolves seemingly lose leverage by the day, the Lakers may be able to acquire Butler while still holding onto one of Lonzo Ball or Brandon Ingram, but would he allow them to grow into the players they could be given patience? Tom Thibodeau could see Butler's acknowledgment the situation could be fixable as a window to try to fix it. Timberwolves owner Glen Taylor could see this entire episode as an embarrassment and just want to move on.
