OnePlus to announce the OnePlus 6T at October event

Just hours after announcing that the OnePlus 6T would be officially unveiled on October 30th, the Chinese company has confirmed that the smartphone will be available a week later, on November 6th. The smartphone will be going on sale in India for the first time on November 2, 2018 at 12 PM.

Shortly after revealing the launch date of OnePlus 6T, the company has now opened pre-bookings for the smartphone for Indian users. This means that all those who pre-book the OnePlus 6T will get benefits worth approximately Rs 2,000 free. Even though there are plenty of new technologies that do cost more to implement, OnePlus rose to notoriety because of a fan base focused on strong value for a well built phone with only a few compromises.

We're pretty sure that means U.S. sales will be underway early that same morning, but interestingly enough, the OnePlus 6T is expected to arrive in India first, on November 2, presumably in limited quantities. OnePlus will be unveiling the smartphone in NY as well at the same time.

Inside, OnePlus 6T is said to come packed with the Qualcomm Snapdragon 845 octa-core and come in multiple RAM + storage configurations-6GB RAM+64GB storage, 8GB RAM+128GB storage and 8GB RAM+256GB storage. The phone was expected to arrive on October 17, as that date was mentioned in a number of rumors and leaks thus far, but it seems like the company has other plans or its upcoming flagship.

OnePlus' 6T launch event is set for October 30.

Impact: The OnePlus 6T will not be a huge revamp of the OnePlus 6, but it will sport a considerably smaller notch, and an in-display fingerprint scanner, instead of a rear-facing capacitive one that graces the back side of the OnePlus 6. Previously, OnePlus phones were available only on its website.

OnePlus 6T will also hold a dual rear camera setup, as seen on OnePlus 6.
