Brees set the National Football League all-time completions record last month with number 6,301 to break Favre's career mark.

Drew Brees has become the NFL's all-time leader in yards passing - and he did it in style.

The deep bomb to Smith came in the second quarter of New Orleans' 43-19 victory over the Washington Redskins, in which Brees finished with 363 yards, three touchdowns and a career-best 89.7% completion percentage (26-of-29).

Off camera: "All-time passing yards". While steady with the comparable game between the Minnesota Vikings and Chicago Bears on October 9, 2017, last night's MNF marked a season low.

"Way to go. Proud of you. I've gotta tell ya, it's been the greatest 1,000 days of my life", Manning says in the video. You have got to have the utmost respect for what he's been able to accomplish in his career.

But Manning was the star of the night thanks to a video posted to the Denver Broncos' Facebook page.

"It played out even greater than I ever could've imagined", Brees said of his record-breaking moment, according to ESPN.

CBN Sports interviewed Brees about his career and his faith after the Saints won the Super Bowl after the 2009 season.

Manning did, however, sincerely congratulate Brees and the end of the message.

Brees entered the game needing 201 yards for the record.

Drew Brees #9 of the New Orleans Saints looks to pass against the Minnesota Vikings during the first half of the NFC Divisional Playoff game at U.S. Bank Stadium on January 14, 2018 in Minneapolis, Minnesota. "All your hard work and dedication have paid off", he said, taking out a photo of him and Brees in their younger days. "And thanks to you, that's over now", Manning deadpanned in the video, which was played on the video boards at the Superdome after Brees broke the record. How about that? Hey, I love you guys so much. Yards, as you all know, cannot necessarily mean winning games.

"There were a lot of people I wanted to prove right tonight, but none more so than them".
