We Have A Title And Summary For Jon Favreau's Star Wars Show

Director Jon Favreau took to Instagram on Wednesday (October 3) afternoon to reveal to Star Wars fans far and wide that the first live-action Star Wars television series will officially be called The Mandalorian.

The Mandalorian is the name of the show and being a rogue element in the furthest reaches of the galaxy is this specific Mandalorian's game.

If you can't read that it says, "After the stories of Jango and Boba Fett, another warrior emerges in the Star Wars universe".

A potential live action Star Wars TV series has been in the works for a long, long time. But now that we have it, a million more questions arise.

Favreau's text would place The Mandalorian in the 30-year space between Return of the Jedi (4 ABY) and Force Awakens (34 ABY). Who would be your top pick for the Mandalorian? Now, we finally have our answers, as showrunner Jon Favreau took to Facebook and Instagram to share a short summary and title for the series.

Here's what that means for the more casual fan: We're going to get a lot of characters dressed like Boba Fett.

It's still unsure exactly when The Mandalorian will arrive, though the Disney streaming service is thought to be launching in late 2019. As a member of the Ghost crew, Sabine was one of the first rebels to stand up against the Empire, while Satine was the leader of Mandalore during the Clone Wars who valued peace and nonviolence.

This probably explains why Favreau and Dave Filoni were spotted hanging out at the Ranch, aka Star Wars world headquarters.

Ready? We're going to talk about Star Wars.
