Kavanaugh and four other men were questioned by the New Haven, Connecticut, police department as a result of the incident in September 1985, the Times reports.

One of Brett Kavanaugh's former drinking buddies at Yale says the Supreme Court nominee was not telling the truth when he testified before the Senate Judiciary Committee last week.

A former Yale classmate of Kavanaugh's, who told The New Yorker he is "100% certain" he heard about an incident in which Kavanaugh thrust his penis into Ramirez's face during their freshman year of college, was also essentially ignored when he asked to provide his account to the Federal Bureau of Investigation in recent days.

Sams said he recalled seeing blood on Dudley's hand and worrying that the star basketball player, who went on to a career in the NBA, had injured himself. Neither Kavanaugh nor the White House has commented on the report as of this writing.

The victim, Dom Cozzolino, was "bleeding from the right ear" and taken to a hospital, as told in a police report obtained by the Times.

The Times failed to disclose that the article, co-authored by Emily Bazelon and Ben Protess, was written by at least one individual who has publicly announced her opposition to Kavanaugh.

The FBI has reopened a background check on the Supreme Court nominee, but the probe is narrowly focused, top officials said in interviews on Sunday.

"He wasn't that type of person", Dudley told CNN.

"As a @YaleLawSch grad & lecturer, I strongly disassociate myself from tonight's praise of Brett Kavanaugh", she tweeted that night.

And even as the FBI explored the past allegations that have surfaced against Kavanaugh, another Yale University classmate came forward to accuse the federal appellate judge of being untruthful in his testimony to the Senate Judiciary Committee about the extent of his drinking in college.

While Ludington said he doesn't think there's anything inappropriate about drinking in college, he noted that he thought it was "fundamentally wrong" to lie to lawmakers. So, Kavanaugh's drinking has been investigated, and subsequently, Dudley has come up.

Murphy said that "the story is straightforward and fact-based and we fully stand behind it". "I never saw him be sexually aggressive but he definitely was sloppy drunk", Swisher added. Kavanaugh has denied all allegations of sexual misconduct.

"The notion that [Kavanaugh] was part of a party fraternity is not the case", said Christopher Munnelly who was a few years behind Kavanaugh and graduated in 1990.

Sams, a lawyer in Atlanta who was a fraternity brother of Kavanaugh and Dudley, said he does not remember seeing Kavanaugh there.

Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell is pledging that senators will begin voting on Kavanaugh's nomination this week, and criticized what he called "endless delay and obstruction".
