Germany & Bayern Munich's Jerome Boateng reveals conversation rejecting Manchester United offer

The Mirror reported last month that United held talks with Bayern Munich over a potential £44.5m deal to sign the German World Cup victor following their friendly at the Allianz Arena in early August but once again they failed to get a deal agreed.

Pogba returned to Old Trafford in a then-world record move from Juve in 2016, but his second spell hasn't run smoothly and there are suggestions that his agent, Mino Raiola, has promised his client that he will move next summer.

Gary Neville has sent a bold message of warning to Paul Pogba, noting that the Frenchman is at risk of becoming a mercenary at Manchester United.

Manchester United, Liverpool and Arsenal were all said to be interested in signing Doucoure, the French midfielder who is valued at around £40million.

Pogba fuelled suggestions that he wants to leave with his comments during the recent global break, and it is widely thought that he will seek a move in either January or at the end of the season. "I feel completely contended at Bayern one of the biggest clubs in the world".

Boateng wasn't just attracting interest from United but also Paris Saint-Germain who reportedly held talks with the 30-year-old.

German media reported in August that Boateng informed United coach Jose Mourinho of his decision to not return to Manchester, where he had played for local rivals City in the 2010-11 season.

"The owner in me would do what United are doing at the moment, saying he is not for sale".

Watford have won four straight games this season but manager Javi Gracia says the Premier League will soon put the club "in our place".

"They have to protect their asset but privately they might be doing a deal because they want to get their £90million back". You don't need to do that'.
