Nintendo has announced that the Switch's online service will launch in the USA on September 18 and in the United Kingdom on September 19.

A year and a half after launching, the Nintendo Switch is finally getting an official online service.

Nintendo has announced new timing details for its next Nintendo Direct broadcast.

It will launch on September 18th in North America and September 19th in Europe. The Switch eShop will not be available for "up to 3 hours".

Nintendo Switch Online will also give subscribers the ability to back up their save data in the cloud.

You'll be able to play Super Mario Bros.

Announced via Twitter, Nintendo confirmed that their paid Nintendo Switch Online Service will be launching next week and that they will be revealing much more at tomorrow's 35-minute Nintendo Direct that will focus on upcoming Switch and 3DS titles. The family membership plan, which will allow the account holder to invite up to seven others to join the family group, has one tier priced at $34.99 for 12 months.

If you have multiple Switch users on a single home system, you'll definitely want to check your account settings and make sure all the accounts are in order.
