Ceremonies Across US Honor Victims of 9/11

Americans looked back on 9/11 Tuesday with solemn ceremonies, volunteer service and a presidential tribute to "the moment when America fought back" on one of the hijacked planes used as weapons in the deadliest terror attack on USA soil.

Retired New York City firefighter Bruce Stanley holds a portrait of his late friend Liam Smith Jr., a New York City firefighter who died in the 9/11 attacks, during a commemoration ceremony for the victims of the September 11 terrorist attacks at the National September 11 Memorial, September 11, 2018 in New York City.

- Flight crew members who died on September 11, 2001 were honored Tuesday morning at the 9/11 Flight Crew Memorial in Grapevine. On that day in 2001, Congress was in full session. He also tweeted quotes from Fox News about a series of familiar grievances, including the Russian Federation probe and the Department of Justice. That's near the site of the Flight 93 crash, which saw passengers aboard the jet overpower Al-Qaeda hijackers before they could target major civilian and government centres.

He paid tribute to victims at the new memorial as several services took place around the country to mark 17 years since the terror attacks. His leadership, bravery and skill must never be forgotten.

"Today all of America wraps up and joins together, we close our arms to help you shoulder your pain and to carry your great, great sorrow", Mr Trump said. "It was here that freedom took its traumatic stand".

Introduced by Schweiker, Gov. Tom Wolf detailed the heroism of those on this day.

However, that is not the case when speaking about the passengers and crew members of Flight 93, he said.

"Whatever we have to face to see this memorial through is nothing compared to what they had to face". "They only knew that their fellow Americans were at risk, so they sacrificed everything for them".

Many of those killed after storming the plane's cockpit to stop it being flown into a Washington landmark were remembered by loved ones, some of whom welled-up with emotion as they read their late relatives' names.

One of the hijacked planes on 9/11 - Flight 93 - crashed-landed in a field in that town after passengers bravely fought back against the hijackers and tried to take control back of the aircraft.

He chronicled their fight against the hijackers and their ultimate end in the reclaimed strip mine. This memorial is now a message to the world. Trump isn't just incapable of doing or saying anything remotely presidential; he's incapable of ever acting like a human being, in any context, with any amount of empathy or compassion or dignity.
