Dez Bryant was still an unsigned free agent as Week 1 of the 2018 National Football League season hit full swing Sunday, but he may have hinted at where he'd like to play next.

Bryant went on a tweeting spree at the expense of his former team.

After a late march by the visiting Dallas Cowboys, the Panthers hung on for a 16-8 victory in their first home season opener since 2013.

But the free-agent wideout wasn't the only one taking shots at Jerry Jones and his franchise after the defeat. "If I line up next to Gronk hogan Edelman I'm for sure getting a 1 on 1 match up plus I won't be getting criticized controlled for expressing my love for the game.Washington is cool as well".

Fans got in on the action, too. The Carolina new-look offense didn't run up big numbers but it didn't need to on a day that the Carolina Front 7 on defense, led by linebacker Luke Kuechly, dominated play.

A year ago, Dez Bryant had two catches for 43 yards and no touchdowns in the Cowboys' season-opening win over the Giants. SB Nation has a full guide to the Bryant-Cowboys beef.

"Yeah, I think it's probably early, but we have to get better in that area, no question about it", he said.

It's hard to break things down as simply as that, but it certainly wouldn't have hurt this team.
