Google has finally announced what everyone else has known for a while - it's hosting an event on October 9. Earlier this year, Google launched software for a, and while Lenovo and other hardware partners have launched devices, we haven't seen hardware from Google.

There have been multiple rumours posted online about what we can expect from the new devices, including sources stating the smartphones will run Android 9.0 out of the box.

The Google Pixel 3 XL has been by far the most leaked handset in recent history.

A new dual front-facing camera looks likely and could bring facial recognition along with the ability to add DSLR-style depth of field to your selfies.

The invite is a GIF with white background with "I 3 NY" written in the first frame and the Google logo on the second frame.

Both the Pixel 3 and Pixel 3 XL are said to be powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 845 chipset and 4GB of RAM. Passing by the releases, the Pixel 3 is the most attractive gadgets of the two.

In previous weeks, nearly everything about upcoming Google Pixel smartphones have been leaked online. The Pixel 3 may have a smaller battery, while the Pixel 3 XL will accompany a bigger battery. There have been few rumors tied to this phone, but Google is said to be working on an low-priced Pixel aimed at Apple's rumored iPhone 9.

In addition to the design, most of the specs of the Google Pixel 3 have also been confirmed.

Google has recently announced when the Google Pixel 3 will come out. At one point it seemed as if Google itself was driving the torrents of leaks to build up hype around its upcoming products. It is expected to sport a single 12-megapixel rear camera and an 8-megapixel front camera.

The Pixel 3 should be about 145.6 by 68.2 by 7.9mm while the Pixel 3 XL is a bit of a behemoth at 158 by 76.6 by 7.9mm.
