While rumours initially suggested that the iPhone X would come built with this feature, Apple chose instead to implement its Face ID facial recognition feature.

The defect does not affect the iPhone X or the iPhone 8 Plus models. It'll outsize the iPhone XS, which is said to maintain a familiar 5.8-inch screen. The iPhone Xs will have a 5.8-inch display, similar design to the original iPhone X and could be priced at $800-$900. While there has been plenty of speculation about what company will introduce during the special event, one thing is certain, Apple will announce many exciting new devices come next Wednesday.

New iPad models are rumored to be displayed at the 12 September launch event, where the new iPhone models will be launched. Last Thursday, 9to5Mac brought us what could be our first look at that Apple Watch Series 4, complete with a notably larger display. There was also a school of thought that the Plus moniker from previous years would continue, but according to sources speaking with the source, the new, largest ever iPhone will be called the iPhone Xs Max. This only means that it will not support wireless charging.

The iPhone XS will arrive on iOS 12, bringing all the new features this software build brings with it, including enhancements to Photos, Siri and ARKit to name but a few. AirPower has yet to be released, but current rumors indicate we will finally have a release date after Apple's event on september 12. There will likely be two storage options - 64GB and 256GB, with the base model starting at $749 (roughly Rs 53,800). Samsung is expected to debut the technology in its upcoming Galaxy S10.
