England v India: Rain delays start of second Test at Lord's

Running as quick as ever, trying to remain very positive with couple of braces in the over.

Day 1 of India vs England 2nd Test at Lord's was washed out because of rain, but according to reports, India's playing XI has been leaked even before the toss happened.

Joe Root's men, meanwhile, will hope to break England's winless jinx against Asian teams at the home of cricket. But Thursday's rain might just have altered the dynamics of this Test match.

Captain Kohli hasn't played the same XI in successive Tests for 36 matches, dating back to the 2014 Adelaide Test in which he led India in whites for the first time in his career.

We should find out what we need to know at approximately 10.30am local time, with play scheduled to start at 11.

Captain Joe Root had earlier confirmed that the hosts will hand a maiden Test cap to young Ollie Pope, who replaces Dawid Malan.

India are trailing 0-1 in the five-match series after losing at Edgbaston by 31 runs.

With day one a washout, England opted to bowl first on the second morning as play finally got underway and James Anderson made immediate inroads.

However, they will have to do it without Edgbaston match-winner Ben Stokes, whose trial for affray is ongoing at Bristol Crown Court.
