On Friday, Bethenny Frankel's on-again-off-again-boyfriend, Dennis Shields, was found dead in his apartment, of a suspected overdose.

Mr Shields, 51, had been known for being the on-off boyfriend of Frankel, who shot to fame as a star of The Real Housewives of New York City. Emergency medical service workers later pronounced Shields dead.

Frankel previously described her relationship with Shields as "a little bit like business" while appearing on Steve Harvey's daytime talk show. Frankel is a star on the Real Housewives of New York City reality television program.

"He said, 'You better get out ASAP.' That's how I knew to get out, otherwise I'd still be in there", Shield recalled. "We're trying to really kind of be good partners and be good teammates".

The medical examiner will determine the cause of death. While authorities could not share the individual's name, "Preliminarily, we are investigating it as a possible overdose", the spokesperson told the publication.

His estranged wife Jill Schwartzberg Shields told Fox News: "Dennis' family is devastated by this awful news".

That year, she shared an Instagram Story picture of herself wearing a massive sparkling ring while nuzzling into Shields' shoulder. "His spirit lives on in our children". News article, Shields received a master's degree in public relations, but became prominent in the banking world - serving as the CEO of LawCash, a pre-settlement funding company, since its inception in 2000. "Please respect our family's privacy at this time".

Bethenny recently commented on RHONY that she was taking a break from her relationship from Dennis, but still loved him.

The current state of Bethenny Frankel's relationship with Dennis Shields was not clear, however. "She's a great mother". As we reported, the maid administered the Narcan but he remained unresponsive.
