The Chinese company is also launching the Oppo F9 variant, and in a fresh leak, the specifications of this variant have been leaked in its entirety.

The phone bears a 6.2-inch Full HD+ FullView display with 720×1520 pixels resolution, an aspect ratio of 19:9 resulting into 87.9 percent screen-to-body ratio. Powering the OPPO F9 will be a MediaTek Helio P60 octa-core 12nm processor, the same chip that powers the OPPO F7 and the RealMe 1. For Graphics it comes with a ARM Mali-G72 MP3 GPU. The smartphone will come in two variants - 4GB RAM with 64GB storage and 6GB RAM with 64GB storage. In the rear, Oppo F9 Pro packs a Dual-Camera setup while in the front a single selfie camera is given. There is also an AI supported 25-megapixel camera with f/2.0 aperture in the front for selfies.

The handset will include the usual connectivity features such as 4G VoLTE, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, Bluetooth 4.2, microUSB, USB OTG, GPS and 3.5mm audio jack.

Oppo is expected to release the F9 sometime in August 2018. We've tested VOOC charging first hand to confirm that it is a great addition to a smartphone and solves battery woes as it can give 2 hours talk time with just 5 minutes of charge. The teaser also hints at three colour options - Red, Blue, and Purple.

Oppo is not keeping it a secret anymore as it is vigorously running F9 Pro promotions.

The Oppo F9 is expected to launch on August 15.

OPPO recently announced the OPPO A3s in India at a price of Rs 10,999 with a notched display, big battery, and a glass design.

In terms of software, the upcoming OPPO smartphone will be running on the Android 8.1 Oreo-based ColorOS 5.2 out of the box. The two smartphones will feature a much smaller notch that what has been seen in smartphones previously, a design the company is calling Waterdrop Screen.
