A dead fetus was found on a plane from Charlotte Tuesday morning.

The cleaning crew immediately contacted their manager, who in turn contacted law enforcement, Franco said.

The incident did not have any "major impact" on the airline's morning operations, according to the station. The plane was being held at Terminal B while the medical examiner's office responded to the scene.

The case has been turned over to the Queens District Attorney's Office, which is investigation. Officials said a short time later that the flight was delayed until 4 p.m.
