In contrast with Flipkart, Mi.com is offering the Redmi 5A with a few offers - 15 percent SuperCash cashback from MobiKwik, up to Rs. 2,000; 10 percent cashback up to Rs. 150 from Paytm; Rs. 700 discount on domestic flight tickets and Rs. 2,200 discount on worldwide flights from Ixigo; a Rs. 2,200 cashback from Jio on Rs. 198 and Rs. 299 recharges; and a free 3-month subscription to Hungama Music.

The Mi A2 is priced at Rs. 16,999 for the 4GB RAM and 64GB variant. The Mi A2 features considerable improvements in design and camera over the outgoing device. Initially, the company will only sell the 4GB RAM variant in India and the 6GB RAM variant will be available soon. On the other hand, the phone carries a 20MP front camera with Electronic Image Stabilization (EIS). You can pre-order the phone from Amazon.in and Mi.in from tomorrow. The display has Full HD+ 1080×2160 resolution with 18:9 aspect ratio. In the camera department, it has a 12MP + 8MP dual camera setup with OIS on the rear and a 8MP front camera.

Connectivity options include dual 4G VoLTE, Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac dual-band, Bluetooth 5.0, GPS with A-GPS, GLONASS, BeiDou, and USB Type-C port. Asus seems poised to take on OnePlus and we therefore expect them to undercut OnePlus prices by a significant margin, making it one of the cheapest Snapdragon 845 phones around. Doing away with the screen notch, the phone has an 8MP selfie camera module that pops out on top.

After launching the Mi A2 globally, Xiaomi has launched the phone today in India. But with a better processor, Quick Charge 4.0 and other appealing specifications and features, the Xiaomi Mi A2 holds its own against the likes of Vivo V9 and the Samsung Galaxy J8.

Chinese smartphone maker Xiaomi has experienced a meteoric rise after it launched its first smartphone, the Xiaomi Mi 3 in the Indian market back in 2014.

The Xiaomi Mi A2 is certainly an interesting smartphone from a company that prides itself with a lower field failure rate. It comes with an 3D Face unlock similar to the iPhone X (with infrared), rear fingerprint scanner, dual SIM support and runs the latest MiUI 10 based on Android 8.1.
