SUPER SMASH BROS. ULTIMATE Reveals New Characters and 103 Level Options

The last bit of Castlevania news in Smash is the addition of Alucard as an Assist Trophy. The new Dracula's Castle stage is pretty wonderful, too, with tons of bosses from throughout the series along with a whopping 34 arranged music tracks. The video started with the reveal of Simon Belmont from the Castlevania series and ended with the reveal of Donkey Kong series antagonist King K. Rool. Ultimate include Chrom, Dark Samus, and King K. Rool.

Near the end of the Direct, Sakurai gave us a look at the main menu screen. Ultimate Limited Edition, it will be available the same time the regular version of the game, December 7.

In terms of fighters, the Super Smash Bros Ultimate Nintendo Direct didn't hold back.

If you don't count the Smash original stages Battlefield, Final Destination, and Big Battlefield that's 100 glorious stages from all these series in one place. Morphing stages - switching between two stages mid-fight - have also been added.

In Smash Bros Ultimate, players will have 103 stages to choose from, which is nearly double the amount found on Smash Bros Wii U. You'll also be able to turn on "stage morphing", which will show the stage switch out with a new one in the middle of a match. Though if you do want some a brand new feature was revealed: Stage Morph!

Be sure to check out the latest Super Smash Bros. We'll also see the Moon from The Legend of Zelda: Majora's Mask and, in what was perhaps the most ridiculous announcement of the day, the massive dragon Rathalos from Monster Hunter, who will also be a boss. Tourney Mode, on the other hand, allows players to set up tournaments for up to 32 players.

But don't worry, apparently Luigi did manage to reunite the two halves of his essence, at least according to the official Nintendo Versus UK Twitter account.

Smashdown: After battling in this mode, the previously selected fighters will no longer be available, forcing players to have to pick a different fighter for the next round. Training mode is even improved, featuring an exclusive stage that features a grid that helps determine the distance and trajectory of abilities and fighter knockback.
