Second, the company launched IGTV- a new app for watching long-form, vertical videos from popular Instagram creators. IGTV will have "channels" that belong to creators, including some social media celebrities like Lele Pons, who gave a preview of her IGTV cooking show at the event. Similar to all the other content on the platform, it selects content it believes you'll enjoy watching through For You.

"We launched IGTV (a button inside the Instagram home screen, as well as a standalone app) at an event featuring numerous Instagram creators who'll make it great", the company wrote in a blog post late on Wednesday.
