The cover of Entertainment Weekly features Kidman with Amber Heard and Jason Momoa in a first look at the standalone movie about the DC Comics aquatic hero. Nicole Kidman plays the role of Queen Atlanna, Aquaman's mother.

High-seas mercenary Black Manta (Yahya Abdul-Mateen II) tackles a prototype for his super suit and prepares to rays hell.

"Aquaman" will splash into theaters on December 21. Wilson will be reuniting with director Wan for the fifth time after working together in The Conjuring and Insidious horror franchises.

Black Manta doesn't appear to be Aquaman's main antagonist.
