"I promise you, I will do my best to be ready for the World Cup and to achieve the Egyptian dream", stated Salah.

Team officials said his participation in Egypt's opener against Uruguay on Friday at Yekaterinburg remains uncertain.

Egypt are training at the Akhmat-Arena in Chechnya's capital Grozny.

Salah had been a doubt after suffering a shoulder injury in Liverpool's 3-1 loss to Real Madrid in the Champions League final on May 26.

Egypt are making the country's first World Cup appearance in 28 years at this summer's tournament.

Salah jogged for about 30 minutes on Monday as his teammates trained on the same pitch in Grozny for the match in Ekaterinburg.

The Egypt global enjoyed a surreal debut season at Liverpool, scoring 44 goals in all competitions, winning several accolades including the PFA, PWA and EPL Player of the Year awards.

On May 30, Egypt officials said Salah would be out for "not more" than three weeks, which would rule him out of the Uruguay match but put him in the frame for Russian Federation on June 19 and Saudi Arabia on June 25.

"We will not pressure Mohamed". If Salah doesn't make it back in time for Uruguay, his next target will be to get fit for a clash with hosts Russian Federation on 19th June, before Egypt round off their Group A campaign against Saudi Arabia in Volgograd six days later.
