'Well' Melania Trump makes first public appearance in a month

A month after first lady Melania Trump announced she was launching an initiative (which is traditional), the president's first ex-wife Ivana Trump announced she was doing the same (which is not quite).

Dr. Kelvin Hong, the director of the Johns Hopkins Interventional Radiology Center, said a four-hour operation to treat the condition described by the White House would be unusual.

She underwent surgery at Walter Reed hospital on May 14 for what aides called a "benign" kidney condition and was released on May 19.

Because Melania Trump stayed in the hospital for five nights for a procedure that some doctors said should have a quicker recovery time, and because she stayed out of the public eye for three weeks, people speculated perhaps her procedure was cosmetic.

Melania Trump is slated to appear before the public Wednesday for the first time since May 10, to join her husband at a hurricane briefing at the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) headquarters in Washington, D.C., at 2 p.m. EST. "We're very proud of her, she's done a fantastic job as first lady", he added.

Disregarding Trump's rant this morning, the American people deserve to get the truth from this White House on topics that matter to them.

But Trump's statement made it sound as if the procedure was far more serious than that. While she was recovering from an operation, the press wrote about the death of Melania, and that she did facelift, and that she left me and moved out of the White house. She's doing great. And you know what? Mrs. Trump stepped easily, smiled and was heard telling one worker "thank you very much".

He said: "First lady's great". "Isn't that right honey?" the president said.

Mrs Trump's absence, beginning soon after she announced her initiative to teach kindness to children, sparked several theories about where she was and what might have happened to her, including that she had moved back to the family's penthouse at Trump Tower in NY.

"The Fake News Media has been so unfair, and vicious, to my wife and our great First Lady, Melania", Trump tweeted.

On Monday, the first lady strolled into a White House event Monday for military families and swept away the wild speculation that she was incapacitated or had otherwise vanished.
