Tiger Woods' $20 million yacht may be named "Privacy", but its owner likely won't be getting very much next week thanks to where he has chosen to dock it for the upcoming U.S. Open in the Hamptons.

The US Open is at Shinnecock Hills on Long Island, New York, starting on the 14 June.

One local made light of the stir his arrival caused by comparing the giant cruiser to his tiny dinghy Whippersnapper tied up on the same jetty.

The three-time US open champion reportedly tried to part with the 6,500-square-foot yacht for $25 million around the time of his highly publicized divorce from Nordegren, though many experts questioned whether the boat was worth such an amount. I respectfully declined, ' Grant Monahan joked on Instagram on Wednesday.

Woods bought the boat in 2004 after his marriage to Elin Nordegren and the couple reportedly spent their wedding night on the yacht. It has a crew of nine, and is thought to cost around $2m a year to run. The report states that Woods will be staying on the yacht while playing in the tournament and, why not? Other amenities include a full bar and eight-person hot tub on the deck, as well as a scuba decompression chamber. Alas, either there were no takers or Woods changed his mind, as he's clung onto the Privacy, despite it's $2 million yearly upkeep.
