Steph Curry led the way for Golden State, top-scoring with 37 points as the Warriors made it back-to-back National Basketball Association titles courtesy of their 108-85 win in Cleveland.

Steph Curry, Kevin Durant, and the rest of the Golden State Warriors shut out King James and the Cleveland Cavaliers by winning game 4 by a score of 108-85, earning the Dubs their third NBA Championship in four years.

The Warriors countered with more depth with rookie Jordan Bell (playoff career-high 10 points), JaVale McGee (10 points) and Andre Iguodala (eight points), who played after missing the past six playoff games with a left knee injury. "The last time they went to the Finals was '99, last time they won it was '73". Draymond Green contributed 10 points and nine assists.

Cleveland was forced to rebound from 2-0 deficit in their Eastern Conference finals clash with the Boston Celtics, and was pushed to seven games by the Indiana Pacers in the first round.

When Curry, who rejoined the lineup in for the final seconds of the half, hit a deep three-pointer to finish the quarter strong and nudge Golden State's halftime lead to 61-52, the game was essentially over. Golden State did not surrender that lead.

It was a performance that led Cavaliers star LeBron James to say, "Kevin Durant is one of the best players I've ever played against, that this league has ever seen".

Rather than continuing to move forward, Durant instead began walking toward the heckler, before being held back and shielded by a security guard.

Oddsmakers know the public is going to think LeBron is going to try his hardest not to get swept tonight, thus the high total.

Durant becomes the 11th player to win Finals MVP twice, joining six-time victor Michael Jordan, three-timers Magic Johnson, Shaquille O'Neal, Tim Duncan and LeBron James, and two-timers Kobe Bryant, Larry Bird, Hakeem Olajuwon, Willis Reed and Kareem Abdul-Jabbar. James still shot 49% from the field over the last three games, but just 27% on three-point attempts with fewer than four attempts per game.

One of Durant's options in the offseason would be to sign a four-year, max contract valued at around $158 million.

"The main difference is the our regular season defense was odd". He would comment on the game-sealing moment for Golden State, and praise the setup and shot. It is a hell of a luxury to have Durant on a team that had already won a title one year and 73 games the next.
