- You can register to vote at the polls, when you go to vote.

Polls will open from 8 a.m.to 8 p.m. tomorrow, May 15th. To view the ballot for the June 12 primary election, visit the Voter Registration website at www.albemarle.org/vote and click on "Current Ballot". Numerous races feature crowded, hotly contested primaries. Registered voters are eligible to vote for all candidates regardless of party affiliation.

Or, if you're feeling a twinge of nostalgia for the old polling place days before OR made all elections vote-by-mail, you can cast your ballot in person in the Benton County Election Office, located in the basement of the county courthouse at 120 NW Fourth St.in downtown Corvallis.

- Anyone may vote in the Democratic primary. Unaffiliated voters may affiliate with a political party on Election Day by signing a form with their county clerk's office.

As the first statewide regular election since the 2017 inauguration of U.S. President Donald Trump, the primary is also widely seen as a referendum on which candidates are appealing to GOP voters.

And both Republicans and Democrats are watching the outcome of the gubernatorial primary as a bellwether for conservative Oregonians. "We look forward to a much bigger turnout come General Election!" Stay with us for the latest and download our free app for up-to-the-second results.
