The cartridges are pretty limited, with only 8,500 copies available for each game, and 1,000 of each being Glow-In-The-Dark Blue. Capcom is gearing up to celebrate Mega Man's 30th anniversary later this year with the X Collection in July and Mega Man 11 at a now unspecified date. The "Mega Man 2" cart also comes with an instruction booklet with foreword by author Salvatore Pane, while the "Mega Man X" booklet contains a foreword by Jirard "The Completionist" Khalil.

Last year's Street Fighter II cartridge re-release was a limited print of 5500, but Mega Man fans will have a better chance to pick up this limited edition run.

The games will be expected to ship in September this year according to their site. Like Mega Man 2, it'll be limited to 8,500 units and available in either opaque white or glow-in-the-dark blue colors (it's picked at random for your order), along with the same "retro pack-in surprises", a attractive tri-fold box and a premium instruction booklet, this time featuring a foreword from Jirard "The Completionist" Khalil.
