Daryl Worley arrested, allegedly found passed out in vehicle

A member of the Philadelphia Eagles was arrested and tasered by police on Sunday morning, according to media reports.

Another Eagles off-season addition is in trouble with the law.

Philadelphia Eagles cornerback Daryl Worley was arrested Sunday after police found him sleeping in a vehicle blocking a highway after the officers had been altered by a 911 call.

After turning when he was found by police at his own vehicle Daryl Worley had been tased and detained, " a report said. A gun was reportedly recovered on the scene as well.

As we noted when the Eagles traded Torrey Smith for Worley a month ago, Worley's well-documented character concerns may have been the reason he was available for a player the Eagles were likely to release anyway.

He was a third-round pick out of West Virginia in 2016. He had 64 tackles, two interceptions in 10 pass deflections last season in Carolina.

The incident occurred only miles from the team facility. Worley had been a versatile starting defensive back for Carolina during his two National Football League seasons, but he won't get a chance to suit up for his hometown Eagles.

The team released a statement that said they're gathering more information.

Worley attended William Charter High School in Philadelphia before spending three years at WVU.

Jalen Mills, who started 15 games last season, and Ronald Darby, who was acquired in a trade from the Buffalo Bills last season, are expected to be the team's starters for the upcoming campaign.
