Motorola has scheduled a launch event on April 19 in Sao Paulo, Brazil in which the company is expected to announce the Moto G6 series of smartphones. Besides the regular Moto G6, the upcoming series is also thought to include the Moto G6 Play and Moto G6 Plus. However, we don't know the exact launch date yet. Ahead of its April 19 launch, we now have some live images of the Moto G6 Play that further confirms the new design language. The back of the device shows the circular single rear camera with LED flash. There is an 18:9 aspect ratio display and the identical looking rear camera design. All three Moto G6 phones are expected to sport full-screen displays.

Besides the generic Moto G6, Lenovo-owned Motorola will also be unveiling low-end Moto G6 Play and a high-end Moto G6 Plus.

The Moto G6 Plus will be offered in Indigo and Gold, along with a dual-lens camera on the rear and a fingerprint sensor on the front. The highlight of the G6 Play will be the fingerprint scanner placement; It's housed inside the Motorola dimple at the back, which is nothing new, but manufacturers have long forgotten this. The device will be powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 427 chipset, mated to 3GB of RAM and 32GB of internal storage.

Motorola Moto G6 Plus is said to sport a 5.93-inch Full HD+ (2160x1080p) display with 18:9 aspect ratio.

The Qualcomm Snapdragon 660 mobile platform consists of eight Kryo 260 cores (4× Kryo 260 @ 2.2GHz, 4× Kryo 260 @ 1.84GHz), Adreno 512 GPU, and 600Mbps 4G LTE modem. There is a dual rear camera setup (12MP + 5MP), 16MP front camera, an octa-core processor, 32GB in-built storage and 3000mAh battery with TurboPower fast charging support. A recent online listing pegs the G6 at $250 (approx Rs 16,300), while the G6 Play may be priced at $200 (approx Rs 13,000). While earlier leaks seemed to focus on the Moto G6 Play, which is the most affordable device in the list, the latest leaked renders show off all three smartphones. The phone will likely be powered by a more powerful Snapdragon 630 SoC.
