Stormy's Gambit: Daniels Offers To Return Hush Money To End Silence

The adult-film actress who claims she had an affair with Donald Trump before he became USA president offered on Monday to return $130,000 that Trump's personal lawyer paid her in what she said was hush money to remain silent about the alleged relationship.

A source close to the actress said that it includes new details of her relationship with Mr Trump, which she claims began in 2006 shortly after his wife, Melania, gave birth to their son Barron. (When asked about potential litigation, Cohen referred BuzzFeed to his own attorney, Larry Rosen, whose firm has also worked for both the Trump campaign and the Trump Organization.) With respect to potential legal action regarding the 60 Minutes interview, Clifford told the Washington Post "we will see what happens".

Blow noted that Trump's alleged relationship with Daniels came right around the time of other notable indiscretions: In September 2005, nine months after marrying Melania, Trump appeared on Access Hollywood, which caught him on a hot mic bragging about sexually assaulting women.

The President has not addressed the alleged relationship publicly, though The White House and Trump's lawyer, Michael Cohen, have denied all allegations of the affair.

Fox News hosts Dana Perino and Brian Kilmeade are not impressed with cable news rival CNN's coverage of the Stormy Daniels scandal, as the two joked that journalists reporting on the pornstar's alleged affair are asking themselves "why" they even went to "journalism school".

President Donald Trump says his commerce secretary will be talking to the European Union about tariffs that he argues have been unfair to the United States. She also claimed the nondisclosure agreement was invalid because Mr Trump never signed it.

If Cohen accepts the deal, the non-disclosure agreement by which Clifford is bound would be "deemed null and void" once she returned the $130,000 sum.

Clifford, however, is now offering to return the $130,000 she says she received from Trump's attorney in exchange for her silence.

Trump did not sign the agreement where it said 'David Dennison'.

Last week Daniels sat for an interview with 60 Minutes, which is set to air at a future date.

Cohen and his attorney did not respond to a request for comment on these new filings either. Originally, Daniels was quiet about the accusations that she had an affair with the president but now she's speaking out. The two have been in the White House for a little more than a year as Donald has been marked one of the most controversial Presidents yet.
