During the test, players can get familiar with the new online features and updated systems featured in Dark Souls: Remastered prior to the game's official launch. Switch has also seen a plethora of ports, however, these games are now available on-the-go, giving players much more incentive to check out older titles.

Two major Dark Souls announcements were made during the latest Nintendo Direct.

Dark Souls: Remastered, the remaster of the genre-defining and beloved original Dark Souls game will be available on May 25, 2018 for the Nintendo Switch, Xbox One, PlayStation 4 and Steam on PC. Few details were given about the network test, but Bandai Namco have promised more information soon.

"Dark Souls Remastered" is an upcoming current-generation port of From Software's very first "Dark Souls" title. Nintendo has stated the amiibo will be available in limited qualities, so make sure you keep your eye on the page.
