The Nokia 7 Plus will have a 6 inch display with an 18:9 aspect ratio hence, the "Plus" moniker.

HMD Global is making sure its 2017 flagship Nokia 8 smartphone gets timely Android updates even in 2018.

Like many manufacturers, HMD Global should take advantage of MWC to introduce its new products.

The newest Oreo update includes features such as battery saving navigation buttons, revamped Power menu, Bluetooth battery percentage, and a new Setting menu, as per the changelog. The update also brings the February Android security patch as well.

Before proceeding to download Android 8.1 Oreo update for the Nokia 8, you need to activate Wi-Fi because the total capacity of the update is almost 1.5GB. As per the latest Android distribution chart, only 0.3 per cent of all active Android smartphones have received the update.

As you can see in the screenshots below the February security update for Nokia 3 is around 89.3 MB in size.

Android 8.1 comes with numerous changes over Android 8.0. Two things: its feature phones, which are dirt cheap and run Android (in some instances); and, second, the Nokia brand - people obviously still love it. The Nokia 8 is backed by a 3,090mAh battery and supports Qualcomm's Quick Charge 3.0 fast charging.

HMD has already confirmed its presence at the upcoming MWC 2018 conference but has not yet revealed as to which Nokia-branded handsets it will be launching. It boasts a 16MP rear camera with LED flash and an 8MP front-facing camera for selfies and video calling.

The Nokia 2 was first sighted on the FCC and then was quickly shown off as an entry-level Android smartphone and then arrived in the United States via Amazon.
