Luke Wilson, pro golfer Bill Haas involved in fatal auto crash

Haas is in town for a golf tournament at the Riviera Country Club in Pacific Palisades, according to Golf Digest.

Early reports indicated that Haas and another passenger - a 50-year-old woman - were in a serious condition in hospital. The crash involved three vehicles, a Ferrari, a BMW and a Toyota FJ SUV.

AMERICAN GOLFER BILL Haas was released from hospital this morning after the Ferrari he was travelling in crashed, killing its 71-year-old driver. Haas was taken to a hospital but released with no serious injuries.

Fischer said the damage to Wilson's vehicle is minor.

Two people, including Haas were injured in the crash, according to Los Angeles-based KTLA.

Haas' father, Jay, later told Golf Channel that his son had been released from UCLA Medical Center with pain and swelling in his legs, but no broken bones, and was expected to make a full recovery.

The Ferrari driver died at the scene of the crash.

Haas won the Genesis Open in 2012 and has won five other PGA Tour titles.

The PGA Tour and Haas' management company, Players Group Management, released a statement that Haas has left hospital and is heading home to SC. "He appreciates the support of friends, family and the golf world as a whole, and he has asked for privacy as he processes what has happened".
