Taiwanese smartphone maker HTC has now teased the launch of its next smartphone in China. There's a miniscule chance that the event is for something else, but considering information that suggests a mid-january release for the HTC U11 EYEs, it's nearly certain that the event will be an official announcement.

Today via its official Facebook page, HTC announced that its new smartphone U11 EYEs is all set to officially launch on January 15 in Taipei, Beijing, and Hong Kong. Of course, other Oreo features should make it to the EYEs at some point in future through a software update.

The U11 EYEs will be arriving with Super LCD 3 display of 6 inches. The Snapdragon 652 is a mid-range processor, but that should really be a big deal when it comes to day to day use. It will come pre-installed with Android Nougat OS and offer users with a native storage of 64 GB.

The highlight of the phone is the Edge Sense feature that was unveiled in May past year, right after the phone was announced.

HTC is going to start 2018 with a mid-range device, if a new rumor is any indicator of what's coming down the pipe. Its owners will be able to enjoy music on it by connecting headphones to its USB-C port. It will also be available in silver, black and red colour finishes and Blass goes on to say in a separate tweet that it will cost around $510 when it launches. 31,715). The pricing and availability for the other markets are not known yet.
