"Black Panther" Presale Ticket Sales Exceeds "Captain America: Civil War"

Earlier this week, ticket site Fandango reported that "Black Panther" was able to set Marvel pre-sales record for its first 24 hours.

How fans accept and relate to the noble King of Wakanda could have huge reverberations throughout the entertainment world, and that fact is weighing heavily on many creative types' minds.

The trailer also includes an extended look at an action-packed vehicle chase scene in the film where Black Panther is seen leaping across a highway.

An awesome featurette for Marvel's highly anticipated film Black Panther has been released! This also goes for Igle's own indie comic series, Black, which has been optioned for a potential film or TV series by Sony's Studio 8.

Marvel Studios was smart leaving Black Panther away from the Summer season.

Additional material by Jeff Spry. It follows Chadwick Boseman's debut as the character in 2016's Captain America: Civil War.

The new film, directed by Creed's Ryan Coogler, is about a power struggle in the aftermath of these events, and stars an incredible ensemble of black actors, including Michael B Jordan, Lupita Nyong'o, Angela Bassett, Forest Whitaker, Sterling K. Brown, Danai Gurira and Daniel Kaluuya. May 2018 is already stacked with Avengers: Infinity War, Solo: A Star Wars Story and now Deadpool 2 all coming in the same month!

A few weeks ago they were tracking the movie to gross around $90 million in its opening weekend, but social media buzz for the film has increased just a month before its release in February.
