LiAngelo Ball Is Leaving UCLA Without Having Played a Game

Ball's latest comments came a day after he pulled LiAngelo out of UCLA, saying he would train him for the National Basketball Association draft next spring himself. The UCLA team was touring China ahead of a visit by Trump, who said he intervened by personally speaking with Chinese President Xi Jingping to get the players released.

LaVar says no decision has been made whether LiAngelo will transfer to another school but, judging by his comments, he's likely to get his one year of post-secondary education directly from the Big Baller Academy. And then you just sit in a cement cell for however long. "I rather be playing". Now we over here. "Now we over here, we got to serve some more punishment?" We apologized. But it's a long process for him.

LaMelo Ball is still in line to go to UCLA, Ball told ESPN.

Ball appeared on CNN's "New Day" to discuss his recent decision to pull his son LiAngelo Ball out of UCLA after the freshman basketball player was suspended indefinitely for his shoplifting arrest in China that drew global attention.

Sources told Yahoo Sports on Tuesday that LaVar is looking into options to get LiAngelo and his youngest son, LaMelo Ball, 16, signed internationally.

Although LaVar and LiAngelo didn't discuss those reported plans during their appearance on NBC's TODAY this morning, the father and son did address their disgust over UCLA's indefinite suspension of LiAngelo.

And some just joked about the whole thing. "It was just a conversation we had, and that was it".

The trio apologized to their teammates, friends, families and the government - including President Donald Trump - at a news conference after they were returned to the USA on November 14.

"What happened to them, it's been a long enough punishment". "I didn't realize till I got back to the hotel-'that was stupid'".

While all three basketball players thanked Trump at a news conference once they were back on USA soil, LaVar Ball has played down Trump's role in bringing them home, prompting furious tweets from the president.

Whether or not the footwear is popular in the White House, Ball maintained that his back-and-forth with President Trump had no effect on his brand's success.
