Warriors' Shaun Livingston suspended one game for altercation on Sunday

Livingston's one-game suspension will begin Monday as the Warriors visit the New Orleans Pelicans at Smoothie King Center.

During a review of Sunday's incident, the league found the Kirkland moved toward Livingston.

Shaun Livingston was ejected from Sunday night's Warriors-Heat game after he made contact with referee Courtney Kirkland while arguing a call.

The NBA on Monday suspended Warriors guard Shaun Livingston for one game stemming from his altercation with referee Courtney Kirkland that led to his ejection in Sunday's win over Miami.

The punishment was more severe for Kirkland, who has been removed from the league's officiating rotation without pay for a week.

While Livingston did not speak to reporters, Kirkland provided a statement to a pool reporter. Steve Kerr said on Sunday that Livingston would be rested on Monday night, so it's quite odd to see him hit with the questionable tag with a non-injury issue. There was 6:24 left in the second quarter at the time.

Kirkland and Livingston got in each other's noses after Livingston complained about two foul calls when operating in the high-post. "It was only one technical and he was ejected immediately".
