Florida soccer coach found in NY with missing teen arrested

Seventeen year old Caitlyn Frisina, the missing Lake City teen who investigators say went missing with a high school soccer coach, has been located.

Frisina has family in NY and Rodriguez has family in Canada and Pennsylvania, according to Columbia County Sheriff's Office public information officer Murray Smith.

On Friday afternoon, a New York State Police officer in Syracuse spotted the auto the two were believed to have fled in, the Columbia County Sheriff's Office. The officer reportedly detained Rodriguez without incident.

A photo provided to ABC News by the family on Saturday showed Frisina smiling while embracing her parents.

Authorities scheduled a press conference for Monday with more updates.

Florida law enforcement authorities had issued a missing child alert for Caitlyn Frisina after she was last seen last week. "But I absolutely believe that she was lied to and totally misled", Scarlett Frisina told CBS.

Her mother Scarlett Parnell Frisina wrote on Facebook, "Our Caitlyn is safe & we're headed to get her!"

During interviews with news media reporters, the girl's parents had pleaded for her to return home.

"She's with a person who is 10 years her senior in a supervisory capacity over her as a coach", Hunter said.

They were also spotted early Sunday evening at a pawn shop in Fayetteville, Hunter said.

Authorities said it appeared "a potential relationship" was blossoming between Frisina and Rodriguez before the teen's disappearance.

Rodriguez was a coach for the boys' soccer team at Fort White High School in Fort White, Fla.
