Hearthstone's "Kobolds and Catacombs" expansion has a release date

The good news is that Blizzard is giving away a few free packs and cards.

Tompson explained that releasing Adventures were holding back what some of the game had to offer in terms of new cards being added to the meta, and for those that never completed the Adventures fully, this prevented them from getting those cards.

Kobolds & Catacombs, the next expansion for Hearthstone: Heroes of Warcraft, now has a release date-and it's soon.

Azeroth's rat-like, candle-loving cave folk-the kobolds-have been digging deep beneath the surface for millennia.

As a bonus for logging in when the new expansion drops players can earn one random legendary weapon and three Kobolds & Catacombs card packs for free. Intrepid adventurers will also be able to arm themselves with one of nine new class-specific Legendary Weapons!

The latest Hearthstone expansion takes on the theme of a Dungeons & Dragons quest with a new card type and single player mode that we're rather interested to test out.

The single player mode Blizzard is introducing is called Dungeon Run. Players start with a basic, premade deck and will then encounter a series of bosses.

Hearthstone's next big expansion, Kobolds & Catacombs is set to launch on December 8. Starting November 6, this pre-purchase offer will also be available in-app for iOS and Android players for 49.99 United States dollars, and will reflect local pricing in Canada for 69.99 CAD.
