She was crowned the new queen by Miss World 2016 victor Puerto Rico's Stephanie Del Valle at a glittering event held at Sanya City Arena in China on November 18.

Manushi Chhillar arrives at St. Regis with the Chairwoman of the Miss World Organisation, Julia Morley where she was welcomed by the hotel staff.

Manushi received a grand welcome as she landed at the Mumbai airport. So, I am kind of doing both.

The model during the final round of the pageant was reportedly asked which profession deserved the highest salary and why, to which she replied, "I think a mother is of the highest respect".

While the diva wore a gorgeous Falguni and Shane Peacock custom made gown for the finale of the beauty pageant, her day-to-day wardrobe since return hasn't been less marvellous. "It is one's handsome heart that is selected to represent attractive faces". The team held a press conference for the Miss World here in Mumbai on Monday. I feel fortunate that my parents supported me.

Chhillar, who is from Haryana, said she is proud to have her roots there.

"I am happy that people from Haryana are looking differently at women now".

Talking about life after winning the crown, she told Times of India, "The victory is slowly sinking in". Manushi said, "It's okay to have an opinion. So I'll focus on the positive side".
