Now available] Animal Crossing: Pocket Camp is coming to Android this Wednesday

Late on Sunday evening, Nintendo announced that the wait for Animal Crossing: Pocket Camp was almost over.

As you might gather, the game puts you in charge of a camp site, rather than overseeing a whole village, but otherwise seems to work in the same way as the regular Animal Crossing games.

Animal Pocket camp has a nice design and it certainly has that Japanese je ne sais quoi which makes people become obsessed. Let us know in the comments what you think of the game. Despite the delay, fans are happy to have some new content from one of Nintendo's biggest IP's. Super Mario Run debuted in December 2016, while Fire Emblem Heroes launched in February.

For the most part, you simply try to make friends and invite them to your camp by performing chores for the animals that reside elsewhere in the game, among other odds and ends. Was it a case of mishandled information, or did Nintendo decide to treat the digital world early?

The mobile phone version of Nintendo's popular Animal Crossing series, has you managing a campsite rather than the traditional town management that was a core element of the series.

Your Campsite. Your Way: "The joy of Animal Crossing: Pocket Camp is creating a space that suits you and your style".

Players will be rewarded for logging in daily like in other Animal Crossing games, but there will also be microtransactions.

Today is your lucky day as you can download the APK right away and play the game. The materials you collect are used to craft items to decorate your campsite. Spending an in-game currency called Leaf Tickets - which can be earned by completing certain tasks or purchased outright with IRL cash - allows you to sidestep those constraints. Anything that you could do to simulate life is pretty much in this game. The game is available now for iOS and Android.
