There is huge gas line fire in Orion Twp. on the north side of Brown Rd. west of Joslyn Rd.at the border of Auburn Hills.

Local news outlets have reported that the fire erupted from a leaking Consumers Energy gas main.

The fire broke out on vacant land.

Bouchard said no injuries have been reported.

Video posted on Facebook by police in nearby Auburn Hills showed flames shooting several dozen feet into the night sky.

The blast exposed about 30 feet of the gas line, and also created a crated about 18 feet deep, according to authorities in Oakland County.

Captain Mel Maier of the Oakland County Sheriff's Office told The Detroit Free Press in an email that they inspected the site of the ruptured gas line and "found nothing suspicious or unusual relating to an intentional act".

According to the Oakland County Sheriff's Office website, "The Sheriff's Operations Center supports all divisions of the Sheriff's Office and operates one of the largest law enforcement/medical/fire dispatch 911 centers in MI". All roadways in the area were reopened by 4:00AM Tuesday morning.
