Tekken 7 Gets New Playable Character: Noctis from Final Fantasy XV

Although the video shows some fishing action, it's probably safe to say this won't actually be part of your Tekken matches in the future. That's not officially confirmed yet, but since we're seeing a stage from Final Fantasy XV make the cut, it only makes sense that some music goes right there with it.

The announcement came with a four-minute trailer that adequately introduces the prince of Lucis.

The protagonist of Final Fantasy XV, Noctis Lucis Caelum, is coming to Tekken 7.

That means the game features characters from the Tekken universe (duh), as well as Street Fighter's Akuma, Fatal Fury's Geese Howard and now a character from Square Enix's Final Fantasy universe.

Noctis is the third DLC for Tekken 7.

Kiryu isn't the only name that fans are floating as characters they'd like to see in Tekken 7. It not only captures the overall feel of Final Fantasy XV, but also breaths some much needed life into some of the Tekken characters. While I doubt a single character will fix those, I do have high hopes.

There's no specific date for when this DLC drops, but Bandai Namco give a tentative "Spring 2018" timeframe for its release.

Tekken 7 is available now for PS4, Xbox One, and PC.
