Devonta Freeman likely out vs. Seahawks with concussion

The Atlanta Falcons took a step in the right direction with a convincing 27-7 win over the Dallas Cowboys on Sunday afternoon. He finished with 3 yards on two carries and no catches while teammate Tevin Coleman found the end zone for the second week in a row.

ESPN's Adam Schefter categorized Freeman as "unlikely" to play next week and reported it "would not be surprising" if he missed multiple contests. He suggested that much in a Twitter post on Sunday, saying he could tell Freeman was playing with a concussion during their week 9 matchup.

Devonta Freeman was hit hard by Cowboys linebacker Anthony Hitchens on a 2-yard run with 1:20 remaining in the first quarter. With the Falcons playing on Monday night against the Seattle Seahawks next week, he will get an extra day to recover.

Carolina Panthers linebacker Thomas Davis posted a since-deleted tweet claiming Freeman was originally concussed a week earlier.

Freeman's fantasy owners have plenty of time to plan their Week 11 lineups without him, and maybe make a waiver wire addition if need be. With how banged up he has been, he probably needs a break anyway.
